Window Tint Aftercare
A little patience now keeps your new film looking its best. Here’s what to expect after your appointment at Low Price Auto Glass & Tint.
Wait 2 days before cleaning
Do not clean your windows for 2 days after installation.
The first few days
Patience today.
A clearer tomorrow.
Your new window film needs time to fully dry. Warm, sunny weather helps it dry faster; cold or cloudy weather slows the process. Your installer will advise you on the dry-out period for your film and the current weather.
What’s normal while film dries
- Small water beads
- Slight cloudiness or haze
These are normal during dry-out. The film will clear up as it dries.

Before you drive home
Before leaving, ask your installer when you can roll your windows down. Follow the instructions given for your vehicle and film.
After the two-day wait
Keep your film looking its best
Use
- Clean, soft cloths or synthetic sponges
- Cleaning solution: ½ oz dish soap + 1 quart fresh water
- A soft rubber squeegee or a clean cloth for drying
Avoid
- Bristle brushes
- Abrasive scrubbers
- Dirty or reused cloths
- Rough paper towels — they can cause fine scratches over time
- Any ammonia products, including glass cleaners containing ammonia
Even with a scratch-resistant coating, improper cleaning can dull the film’s polished look.
