What's the best window tint for a Tesla?+

Will window tint affect my Autopilot or Full Self-Driving cameras?+
No. Tesla's Autopilot cameras are mounted inside the cabin near the rearview mirror — they look through the windshield strip, not the side or rear windows. On side and rear windows, our ceramic and carbon films are non-metallic and signal-safe. If you add windshield film we use a specific optical film that Tesla-certified installers have validated as camera-safe.

Does tinting my Tesla void the warranty?+
No. Aftermarket window tint does not affect your Tesla vehicle warranty. We do the install without removing any Tesla trim or interior components — same as any other pro shop. The film itself carries a separate lifetime manufacturer warranty.
How long does the install take?+
Model 3, Y, S, and X are typically 2–3 hours for full-vehicle tint. Cybertruck can take longer depending on which windows you're doing. Drop off and pick up the same day.
What darkness is legal in California for my Tesla?+
California requires any film on the front side windows to transmit at least 88% of light on its own, with the glass and film together at 70% VLT or more — in practice, a clear high-transmission film up front. Rear side windows and the back glass have no darkness limit, and the windshield allows film only above the AS-1 line. We follow the code and recommend a compliant combination that still looks great.
Do you offer windshield tint for Tesla?+
California limits film on the windshield to the area above the AS-1 line, so we don't tint the full windshield on street-driven vehicles. What we can do is tint the glass roof and the AS-1 strip with near-invisible 3M Crystalline, which cuts a large share of the heat coming into the cabin. Ask us about the options when you book.
